A decision to end my hike
Today at Hikertown I decided to end my hike . Everything was going well but I increasingly came to the conclusion that the hike was simply a lot of work with very little payback . The hike was goal orientated , twenty or more miles a day , next water , food , and campsite . And with the large amount of hikers this year it seemed like someone was always coming around the corner . On a lot of days it was difficult to find any solitude , peace , or time to reflect . The Bottom line is that I simply wasn't having much fun , and if I wasn't having fun then what's the point ?
