Journal Entry

Friday. Woke up to wet gear and shoes. Awful night of sleep. Listened to the snow fall on my tent during the night. Miserabel is the right word.

Seven walked by my camp just as I was breaking camp. We ended up hiking the day together to Walker Pass.

The weather-gads helped me by drying my gear. A trail angel had set fresh vegies, carrots, celery, onions and peanut butter and bread and water.. Thanks TA.

Jus Will showed up and was going into Lake Isabela. He gave me peanut butter crackers and a Tillamoook pepperoni. GOOOD stuff!

Seven is avery interesting guy in his late 60's or 70's who has summitted the highest peaks in 7 continents, including Everest. I would hike with him unitl KM.

We hiked to Joshua Srpring. MP 664. Hs been tested and has a high level of Uranium but on all accounts not harmful in these doses. I had no choice but to decide to filter at least a liter. However, seven had an extra ltr and gave it to me. TX 7!

Seven camped in the gully near the trough but I camped up trail on a beutiful landing near the PCT. An Austrailan couple, EVA aznd jered, whom I met early on , campe nearby off the PCT.

Based on weathewr patterns, I am contemplating the hike after Kennedy MEadows. The Sierra just my be too snow heavy for me to comfortably hike.. We will see!

38 miles from KM. Setting myself up fpr a good long hike Sturday and a mornign hike into KM. Hopefully, I can catch a ride down from KM to hwy 395 and hitch up to Bishop, nearly 70 miles North.

Planning on 25 Staurday and 13 on Sunday AM. I can taste a hot breakfest already.

All gear is dry.......yes. ageat dinner of rehydrated pasta, marinara sauce, chicken, broccolli and mushroom was on the menu. Fell aslepp in a dry tent and quilt. LIfe is good tonight.
