Day 110

Osiyo
Still in lots of pain and the swelling is getting worse, so as much as I don't want to end my hike this way I have to end it. Lava Boy and his wife brought me breakfast and a hikers brother came from Portland Oregon to take him to REI for some new gear and I have a chance to catch a ride with him on his way out of here so I packed up and waited by the store and he gave me the ride I needed so I was thankful for that! It's been a wonderful hike and I never thought I wouldn't make it to the end so I'm kinda in shock but at the same time I'm thankful for the opportunity to live a dream and give this thru hike my best shot. I've met the most amazing people in the world both on and off the trail all while hiking through some of the specular country all on foot! I've learned so much about myself out here and Learned that people really do care about the trail and each other. We are hiker trash and we look homeless (maybe we are) and were dirty, we stink, and everything is worn out and we all have so much in common and it all boils down to one word! Love! Scripture teaches us that God is Love and I see His Love working in every person and in His creation from the boarder in Mexico to Shelter Cove Resort in Oregon where my journey on the PCT ended. Osiyo is the Cherokee word for hello that I start each day with but there is no word for goodbye so we say Donadagvhoi and that means ''until we meet again'' I plan on adding more to this journal and about my recovery and life after the trail so until then thank you for reading my journal and I'm truly sorry I couldn't make it to the end. Wado!
Blessings
