Passing lots of south bonders
We got out of camp at a nice 8:00 am. The cool air made for good hiking conditions. We ran into a group of south bound hikes around 11:00. Most of them had stayed at Lake Sally Ann, our destination for the day. They were all in great shape and moving with purpose. The ones we talked to were from a range of places. Hawwii, Colorado, and New York. And a few were locals. Glacier Peak is prominent to the north of us. Then we descended down the valley where we had lunch.
After tanking up on just enough water we started the slog up to lake Sally Ann. We dragged ourselves in to our camp site a 4:30. We are not acclimated to trail life yet. 11 miles today. Hoping for 17 miles tomorrow.
I got 3 APRS pings out today. Including one at our camp site.
