Pacific Crest Trail Map
I woke up with dawn and drove back to the trail to set up the catche.
I was back in Mojave a bit after 7am. As I was getting gas two hikers were walking by. They wanted to go to the Tehachapi Post Office, so I agreed to drive them.
I then spent the next four hours shuttling hikers around. There was never more than ten minutes waiting before someone showed up needing a ride somewhere. I will not go into details because it would be too long, but in that time I drove over twenty people around. I could have gone all day non-stop but I had to turn the jeep back in. I had been sure I would have a ton of soda left over when I purchased them but I ran out early in the morning.
Getting back from Lancaster to Mojave was a pain, but by late in the afternoon I was at the Motel 6 in Mojave.
I had hoped these couple of days would help with the hip and knee pain but no joy so far. I am mildly concerned. I try to reassure myself that it wouldn't be a thru hike without pain and this is to be expected.
