Planning

Howdy to anyone checking out my Journal. =) I've been doing a lot of research and planning since March 2015 but I'm just now starting to solidify things and get organized. Thank you Postholer for creating such an amazing resource!

I'm hoping to leave in mid to late March but we'll see what El Nino brings for snow this winter! I'm in the midst of a life transition so I am freed up to basically do anything this next season. I'd like to leave as early as possible in the year but just not stupid early.

And so it begins... Step one - what food do I want to eat?

I'm planning on mailing all of my food (which I'd rather not do, I'd rather just wing it) but I'm intolerant to gluten so it may be tough to eat gluten free on the fly. I'll be cooking and dehydrating my own meals. I figure it'll also be a more enjoyable experience to eat healthy along the way instead of feeling like crap from eating wheat! Step one - CHECK

Step two - figure out the best resupply locations. So far, I've worked up to Kennedy Meadows...
