DIY doggie stroller

Wylie Dog

I am taking my dog Wylie on this adventure. I know its quite controversial. But this will be his hike and his hike only. Since Ive completed all of the PCT already, Im thinking whatever he can do hiking wise, will be ok with me.. I have plan B and C already penciled in if either of us get injured or we aren't making the needed miles...
Ive left him and a previous dog at home every PCT trip Ive taken. A bit of me is left behind when I leave him. At least with a human you can explain where you are going and how long you might be gone... not so with a dog..
I plan to road walk around the Sierras, actually looking forward to it, all 300 miles of it or so..Im converting a jogging stroller to use on the road walk. Wylie will be able to ride on it if he wants. Im hoping to up our mileage for this section.
There is towns every 30 miles along 395...
Wylie gets cold easy and with our early start(March 20) I have many coats Ive bought for him. And I just got a sled dog coat for him. Also have sled dog booties. And sled dog food ( Dr Tims Momentum)
Wylie and I start Canine Good Citizen class next week. Make him a superior trail dog! Got his shots all up to date for that. Started him on heartworm meds as well...Also he will get the rattlesnake vaccine and Ill ask the vet about Lyme disease... Hope to hit a rattlesnake aversion clinic on the drive down...cant find any clinics this timeof year in WA state...
Training starts in a week or so, when my orthotics get back from being refurbished...
