day 2

I really dislike the beach, not sure why, just have no use for it..told myself I'd give it a week, I'm already planning my escape!!
Wylie and I were up early and off! We road walked part way, then cut over to the beach..it was about 5 miles to the northern jetty..it was hard to pull the trailer up the deep sandy hill..we touched the jetty sign, had a snack, and headed back...Wylie rode the trailer for over a mile, then hopped off, refreshed..
We returned to ft Stevens campground.. met two hikers from Scotland, pct refugees, they had been going north on the OCT, but flipped due to the wind.. they might catch us as they are a day behind us..
Figure I'll stay here on the OCT a week, then head home and regroup, then head to elk lake and hike home!
