So I attempted to start my dinner prep for my NorCal SOBO. I figured i would get freeze dried veggies and meat substitutes to add to Pasta-Roni & Rice-a-Roni. This was a costly lesson, as I now have to throw out all of the dinners I have vacuum packed. It turns out, the imitation bacon overpowers the flavor of the meal, and makes the meal smell rancid. Glad I figured that out now, rather than on the trail. Luckily, I have plenty of time to get my dinners dialed in.

Still no word as to the status of my Leave of Absence request. I may have to quit my job to go hiking for a month, bummer.
