Canada - Finally!

Got out of Stehekin in the afternoon and was able to get in 11 miles. Got started the next day at 7:00. Conditions were good for hiking, overcast and around 60 degrees. I was able to hike 29 miles. Ive ran into several hikers that I know on this last stretch. Its great to see them all again.

The last full day of hiking started off with a pretty good climb out of camp. Its was misty and overcast all day. It started raining pretty good about a mile before I was to stop for the night. I quickly set up my tent and jumped into my sleeping bag. It rained most of the night and got really cold.

I left at 7:00 the next morning, my last day on the trail. The rain last night cleared out the clouds for my final day of hiking. Clear blue sunny skies all day. I made it to the monument at 12:30 and Robyn was there waiting for me. What a great feeling, both reaching my goal and having her there to celebrate with me. After hanging around there talking to other hikers and taking pictures we had a 9 mile hike back to the lodge. We got there at 5:00 and immediately went to grab dinner and a beer. And just like that the hike was over. On to Seattle on Wednesday, then home on Thursday.

What a great trip its been. Id like to thank everyone for checking in with me and offering encouragement. It really helped a lot. I cant wait to catch up with everyone and find out how your summer has been. Until then, take care.
