whatnots and day 6
Couple things I forgot to mention, my sawyer filter, I grabbed the wrong one, water barely trickled out..I knew I wouldn't drink enough if I continued to use it, so I quit.. been drinking pond/ lake water..haha, I do have giardia pills if I get that dreaded experience.. also, I'm lucky my shorts are double wall, blew a hole in them, then ripped it bigger setting up the tent..And the tent, the zipper is getting wonky, lucky it has two, especially in mosquito country.. just had it a year, it may have to go back to REI..and Wylie is eating his typical minimal amount.. jerky is what he likes mostly.. I give him cannibis three times a day to relax him.. and it does an hour after I give it.. just a note, I've never used it myself..
We are resting by Mesa creek, Wylie got hot crossing the wickiup plains with his boots on, we've done our miles for the day, so just chilling..supp to be hot so good to be done for the day, though we may do two more miles after it cools down..
