Pacific Crest Trail Map

finding maps and journal reads

Well after buying maps from US BLM that were helpful but require more skill in compass and topo reading are going to be more time consumming on the trail. there are many half mile maps for each section with known campsites and watering holes which are a plus during your summer travels across the deserts in Southern California. These can be found on the PCTA.org website and are FREE. I have found THIS website Postholer.com to be very helpful in planning travels and Resupply drops. I suggest to visit Craigs PCTplanner. com also and read his 2013 thru hike journal . And for those who want to Dehydrate food suggest Backpacker Chef .com who has great recipes and trail journals to read these give you a idea what type of gear needed to complete your dream.
