What is the Pacific Crest Trail?

The Pacific Crest Trail is a long distance trail that stretches from Mexico to Canada. It is approximately 2650 miles long. If hiking north, it begins 60 miles east of San Diego,CA near Campo CA. It ends in Washington's north cascades range at the Canadian border. It traverses through the deserts of Southern California, the High Sierra of Central California, and the Cascade Range of Northern California, Oregon, and Washington.
