30 day countdown

30 days left. Did a shakedown cruise last month at Lake Morena. Gear all worked well. Lake Morena was under a boil water directive for e-coli, so be on the lookout for warning signs if it is still in effect. Pretty cold at night, but April should be warmer. Lots of dogs barking at night, so I will be bringing ear plugs. Wild Turkeys woke me up, pretty funny to watch them (a gaggle, a waddle? , no, a gathering of Turkeys). Only problem, after two days of 10-12 miles with 25-30 lbs, is I got plantar faschiatis, so had to stop the training hikes. Getting better with each day, going to try some orthotic inserts and different shoes. Saw about 4 thru hikers, pretty early in the season I thought, but then HYOH.
