Observation deck, laguna

LGC to Sunrise trailhead

B and B dropped me off at the Observation deck, where we met "Stretch", a
current and previous pct thru hiker. I started out, and he rapidly
overtook and passed me, but not after sharing his wisdom of the trail, "the
trail dictates what you do".
Hiked 12 miles to meet my wife at the trailhead. It was raining, i was
early, and she was late, so i made some coffee to keep warm. I also had
dropped my phone in a creek, it overheated (probably shorted out power) and
shut off. Thankfully it recovered, otherwise i was headed home to deal with
it before moving on. Met some other hikers who were trying to hitch into
Julian, which i thought would be pretty difficult, but less than 20 minutes
they got a ride, and mine showed up as well, for a great overnight in
Cuyamaca.

Saw another rattler next to the trail, no one else seems to see them.
