Journal Set Up

Alright, getting setup with Postholer for on-trail journaling to update family and friends. Struggling a bit with posting gear list. We'll get it all locked down. At present, I've pretty much locked down gear, training daily walking/hiking. I have tried out all my equipment section hiking the Idaho Centennial Trail over the past couple years. Last year was abbreviated due to some health changes but expect all to be well prior to kickoff. Base Weight at present is 15.86 lbs. I doubt at this point we're going to shave much off that. Perhaps after a week or two on the trail, but at present I just can't bring myself to drop anymore gear. One thing though, depending on weather in the Desert Section high country would like to ditch the polypro before starting. We'll see.

I have been following several websites of the past few years and recommend one in particular. Mac at Halfwayanywhere has been my absolute favorite. If I breakdown any pretrail planning it would be using his model. I have particularly enjoyed "Hiker Trash: Life on the Pacific Crest Trail' by Erin Miller - I strongly recommend it to anyone planning their walk. Recent YouTube favorites include "Darwin onthetrail" as well as Dixie on "Homemade Wanderlust".

That is all.
