California done

Getting right to point. I've walked California except for one switchback I
cut in the Mohave windfarm late one day in 2011. Took no rides that
shortcut sections...

All this started in 2011 continued in 12, 13 and 14 and I finally got er

Today I did 21 miles and tomorrow I have 12 to Grouse Gap where PCTA
trailcrew leader Mick is picking me up. Thank you Janette for starting that
ball rolling. Its saving me 12 miles..which saves me 10 miles.

My truck is at Callahan's Resort.

Today was the first day in this hike (tonight is night 14) that I did not
see any forest fire beauty..some of it is...but a whole lot means hiking
with little shade and the sun is blazing.

Northbound today was a young women and the guy I mentioned yesterday. He
and I talked, pretty interesting guy and he does Tahoe Rim Trail

There were also two independent southbounders. I find I felt sorry for them
and what they will see and experience. This section today does not set the
stage for the next 50 or so miles..

But hey!

The Pack it Gourmet hamburger meal was great.

When I get home I'll fix, I hope the posting problems in this journal..I'm
also curious to see how much I over bought food.

Janette taught me about cows and bells around these parts. There are some
here and they are moving up the hill toward me..hope I don't have to herd
them in the middle of the night.

No mozzies

I just reviewed the food I prepared but sent home. Its 7 dinners and 3 lunches. I think at times it was just too hot to eat. I also have half a pint of Peppermint Schnapps and one more hot chocolate packet and quite a few Via coffees.
