"ST/BMT"
It's been a while since I've been over here on PH, so I thought I'd better let you all know what's going on.
I had planned on hiking the Sheltowee Trace leaving October 12, 2017 and finishing around November 5-6, 2017. I had to cancel my hike after a virus got into my computer and when I started having some health issues.
For those of you that actually read journals on this site, you're probably saying, "I thought he was hiking the AT in 2018". Well, I was but I acquired this awesome apartment in January of this year and wanted to start getting in furnished. My plans are to keep it while hiking, so I wanted to make it somewhat liviable.
My intentions now, are to do both the Sheltowee Trace and the Benton MacKaye Trail, as Thru-Hikes. I've already been in contact with different ones that could possilbly provide a shuttle ride from "Big South Fork National River" (the Southern end of the ST) over to "Davenport Gap, TN" (the Northern end of the BMT).
Equipment wise I'm ready so all I'd need to do is put some food together and save up some cash.
