As we travel home on train , can't help but think of ALL the wonderful hikers we just spent a month in the wilderness with , names like ford,handbrake ,landslide,Pillsbury who we hiked and camped with more than once along the trail, and enjoyed conversation with as the miles went by . Then there were the many who were at resupply towns and we ran across most every day along the trail like sizzler,tictoc,why not & balence. , 2bad Dogs. Whistles, cheese,chugs,and many others , and those we know from previous years like Ray (Juno ) and legend and can't forget the trail angels like coppertone ( always At major roads with rootbeer floats or hot tea & cookies) and the two guys who drove to the middle of no where and cooked everything a hiker would dream of, wow what a treat that was ! And many many more !
This was a great year for Matt as the other hikers just loved and encouraged him every day , so thankful for those people !
I can't help but wonder how long till we again get called by the trail to return to our sanctuary.
Now home to our loving family , church , friends & and yes those darn pets .
One thing is, we must loose this tremendous hikers appetite fast or ALL the weight will return plus MORE , we're just hungry all the time right now , but not walking 20 miles a day !
