Grand Enchantment Trail Map

Almost gone

We're frantically getting things packed for our Grand Enchantment Trail hike. It is more of a route than a trail as it links existing trails, roads and cross-country sections for approximately 770 miles from Phoenix to Albuquerque. We're nervous to undertake such a challenging hike both in terms of the physical challenge as well as the mental and emotional challenges of the navigation required. This trail will have the water concerns that we experienced on the Arizona Trail but is logistically more difficult for resupply and rest stops too. We loved the scenery of the Arizona Trail so much that we wanted to try this route to see even more of Arizona as well as a large portion of New Mexico.

We've had a ton of obstacles to preparation for this one but we have been determined to go anyway! We're always praying for guidance to make the right decisions along the way and we know that this may include go home and finish later! We really appreciate the prayers of our family and friends. Come see us along the way if you can!

Be content with such things as you have. For He Himslef has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13:5

"The joy of living is his who has the heart to demand it." Theodore Roosevelt
