Mission Accomplished!!!
Holly Mackerel, I made it! Such a wonderful day! Lisa and the girls met me a couple miles up the trail, from Manning park. They made very good time driving from Southern California! I don't think they took many breaks and all three drove! Can I say it's really nice to be back with my family! I missed them :)It was 9 miles and all downhill to the US/Canada border this morning. I touched the northern terminus at 9:49am! I stayed at the border for maybe 30 minutes then started the 9 mile hike to Manning park. I ran into Lisa and the girls at 1:00pm and made it to the Lodge in Manning Park at 1:30pm. Now I can set my pack down for good! Lol!!
I know I will think differently down the road but I am so happy to be done. It was an experience that was sometimes fun, sometimes hard and sometimes relaxing but overall it was long. I am glad I did it but now it's time to get back to normal!
I plan to write a couple more posts, maybe on gear and statistics so make sure to check back soon...
