Planning for a hike of the Sierra High Route is complete. Maps and databook downloaded from Andrew Skurka's website, "Sierra High Route" by Steve Roper purchased, working on equipment, food, all the fun stuff. Andrew Skurka's mapset has been printed at 11 x 17 size at Kinkos, and the maps are reasonably water resistant. Cost about $ 50. SPOT will be active. Update: I've completed my Sierra High Route trip, from Kings Canyon to Reds Meadow. Post trip, I have completed the blog. Note that since the blog entries were done many weeks after the trip, there may be errors, so don't rely on what you see here for critical planning.
