I guess this is the beginning
I've been thinking about who I'm writing this journal for. Is it you, the intrepid adventure reader? Is it for my own posterity? No, I think this is for something much more important...
Several years ago, my wife (knowing how much I like Albert Einstein) gave me a book about Albert Einstein. This wasn't just some old quantum-physics book. This was a book she and I could read together. Albert Einstein/Mileva Maric: The Love Letters is a book about the personal life and relationship between Einstein and his wife, Mileva Maric. From this perspective, you get a great understanding of who Einstein really was. Not just a great physicist, but a regular guy trying to build an important personal connection in his life. I'll follow a similar format and document my journey on the PCT through a series of journal entries, videos, and other media. My progress is dedicated to the woman I love...my wife.
