Lucky Trip home
My luck with getting home was unsurpased. Trail Magic with a capital "TM".
As I was ending the trail met Brandon, who was out doing a run on the trail. He had completed the AZT the year before. I asked if he was heading toward Page and he said yes and would gladly give me a ride after his run. When I got to the termius I waited around about an hour and Brandon returned and let me know that he was actually on his way to Flagstaff so I was able to get a ride all the way to Flag... Besides hiking the AZT, Brandon had also hiked the PCT last year. We spend the drive to Flag discussing the AZT, PCT, and thru Hiking in general. What a great ride from the Trail....
I was dropped off at the shuttle pick up point in Flagstaff, took the shuttle bus to Sky harbor airport and then took the shuttle bus from there to Tucson. I was home just before midnight after finishing the hike around 11 AM that morning.
Great trip even if the weather did its best to be uncooperative for a week in the middle.
