Why the PCT now?
I enjoy backpacking as exercising towards very scenic areas, so nothing "new-agey" about all this. Hiking the PCT in a lightwt to UL style; mostly to see it bedire forest fires take out more of it. Planner WILL change but hope to finish Washington by mid-Sept (only doing 20 mpd in the Sierras, for instance). Won't be road walking any long distances due to feet in my last road walk.
