PCT
How I first heard about the PCT:Early 90's I was on a ranger led hike above Donner Lake when we crossed the PCT. The ranger commented that the trail that way goes to Mexico and the other way went to Canada and some people hike the entire trail all at once! Now I had been on little 5 or 6 mile hikes so could not imagine someone really hiking all that way.
Started with a few 30 mile hikes. . . Then Sonora Pass to Yosemite Valley. . . Then the JMT. . . Been section hiking for about 20 years now but never gone on a long through hike.
I can't believe that I will be on the trail in 3 weeks and will stay out for 5 1/2 months. Now this is what I call a vacation!
