Here we go again
I was all ready to hike the CDT this year: 2 sets of maps, new backpack, extended battery for phone/photo machine, but whilst I was standing at the supermarket weighing the option of porter vs. stout I received a phone call; apparently some sort of shady, back-door deal involving multi-departmental cahoots went down and I was offered the same job I held last summer, so its back to the desert for now. Who knows, the looming government debt crisis might put me back on the CDT, but for now I am looking at my new backpack wondering where I am going to affix freshly baked pies, and desperately searching for 2L platypus bottles (photos coming soon).
