Journal Index

Chronological Journal Index

It was never meant to be such a huge undertaking but this 2011 journal seemed to have taken on a life of its own. It consists of 36 pages entered before we hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, 165 entries for days while we were on the trail, and eight pages after the hike. It was hard work, but each and every day of our journey on the PCT was documented.

The Index which follows below will help you to more easily navigate the journal and find what we feel are some of the more important entries. Of the 209 entries, we have identified 54 pages which you might find especially educational or entertaining.

Remember, you can always jump around by using the drop down menu on the upper right where it says "view" or you can use the "first, previous, next and last" links on the upper left. Each link below will take you directly to that page. If you wish to return to this page from anywhere in the journal, simply click on "first" (upper left of any page).

Note: PCT class movies have been produced for the last eight years. They are about 1 hour long and document the experiences and people of that year. Jack was given the honor of producing the official PCT class of 2011 video. It was a hit at the KO in 2012. You can learn more about it and download a free copy here.
