Upper Velma Lake

Well, it's been a great run! From the day Tahoe Mike came up with the crazy idea to hike the Grand Enchantment Trail, through the Wild Olympic Coast and the Oregon Coast Trail with the grand finale of the Tahoe Rim Trail and back on the Pacific Crest Trail! Wheew!

I'm hiked out! I'm going back sailing. Today, just for grins, I hiked up the Diamond Peak ski slope to the Flume trail and headed south into Incline Village. Went down to the beach at the Hyatt and the Sierra Cloud catamaran was all loaded up with people and they were untying the lines. It was too much. I jumped aboard for a two hour tour of the lake and Thunderbird Lodge. Coors light and fresh fruit. Cheese and crackers. Wind in the sails. Its all so surreal!
