Bus ride.... texas

CDT hiking with style

The bus ride has been a great opportunity to really study the water ahead
and get to speak with locals who are interested in helping me to narrow
down my best options for resupply. I intend to go start at border around
11tomorrow at Palomas towards Deming, NM. Its only about 60 miles there.
Shooting for three days.

I will get my box mailed out to Mimbres, NM for resupply early before trip
to boarder, so I have a way to avoid a 40 hitch to Silver City. It will
take about 5days. Its only about 100 miles. Water looked decent as far as
distance. I will find out when I get there if its brown cow trough or
windmills.

Then Doc Campbells will be a great place to zero at the hot springs. It wil
serve as a decent place to plan out next leg. I will decide to either skip
Reserve and go thru to Pie town.

I heard there is snow, rain, and hail in the mimbres right now... I need to
buy a gps still and put waypoints in. I am trying to get that done.
