Decision
I'm making my hiking plans for this season, and thinking where to go. Then the high Sierra granite starts to call me, creating a yearning that I find easy to fill. Yes, the John Muir Trail is the answer to my need to hike. I actually did most of the trail in 2012 when completing my PCT thru hike. I would like to make the complete adventure this year covering all of the JMT. Once compeleted I think I'll hike North to Tahoe and my folks cabin, I can walk out of the woods right to their front door. I figure about a 450 mile trip, not long by PCT standards but long enough to get that thru hike feel back in my blood. I have made many gear and food changes to since 2012 and I am very anxious to validate my choices. I'll post my gear so you can see my selection, as well as discuss my food is a later post.
