Training Hike
Ten mile training hike on the PCT north from North Bonneville, WA. Simply a marvelous day for it! The sun was out, it was about 60 degrees, and I felt great! I had not gone ten miles before, but instead of setting a distance limit, I decided to hike 2.5 hours out, and turn back for the car. Much of the walking was in clear cut (ugly!) but the parts under tree cover were great. I hope to get to know thsi section of PCT very well, as the area around the north west side of Mt Hood north to the Stabler area is kinda "home turf" for me.
