Appalachian Trail Map

So Awol's book says there is water at the campsite I am at. WRONG. There is no water here and I don't have any either. 5 miles to get to water...........I am heavily praying for rain as it has been trying to rain and thundering.

Rest of my day was good. It is stupid humid and decently hot. I got a ride along with BC, Eugene, another guy who camped with us last night, Bismark, and a guy named Don from Ashland, KY. He is a huge UK, Reds and Bengals fan. He started later on the trail. He waited to go to opening day and to stay to see if UK would be in the championship game. He alerted me that Lamb and Jones are both returning next year for UK which was the highlight of my day lol. Oh and btw the ride was to a diner from a fellow hiker for free. His name is slipping me now :( but his dog is Pepper. He was a really nice guy.

Had 0, correct 0 real views today. The long green tunnel that is Virginia I guess. I stopped at my goal spot with no water. Gonna rest up and try to start really early in the morning to hike while it cooler till I get to the water source 5 miles away. We will see. I hate Awol...

Animal Report:
Saw another groundhog. Been seeing a lot of them. I scare the crap out of them cause I get so close with my silent walking. Saw birds of course as always and a lot of millipeads for some reason.

Lesson Learned:
Awol is not to be trusted. Good I'm not going back for Trail Days. I'd have to give him a piece of my mind on the prob over 100 errors I have found in his book and that only in the first 500 miles lol. Also I learned I want a cheap AM/FM radio with earbuds. That is what Don has and he listens to sports and Reds games all the time. Almost daily he can get the Reds games. That be pretty sweet. It the biggest thing I miss is sports and music. Plus radios take AA batteries instead of crazy locktight iPods. Oh well we will see what they have in Pearisburg Walmart maybe :).

Thank you all for reading my ranting!
