Finding Cristi's Spring
I get a morning ride up to McLoughlin TH from my old school buddy living in Eagle Point and pop up the long mile to hit the PCT, right where I had camped at the summit trail intersection (July 9 2011) prior to my aborted attempt to get to Christi's Spring last year. I am only a few days later this year, and got reports from locals indicating still bunches of snow in Sky Lakes Wilderness and farther North. However am better prepared this year ( GPS with trail track loaded) and am anxious to see just how much snow is still there. Pleasantly surprised to find clear trail from the Spring and beyond and I camp just short of the Sky Lakes trail junction.
