I am back. Here are the last three days which invovle Idyllwild to just shy of Fuller Ridge trail, to camp at Snow Creek, to Whitewater River.

First day was easy miles fro Idyllwild to just shy of fuller Ridge Trail at 9K ft. Much ice & snow there including large ice clumps falling from trees.


Ok,? I confess I?ve dreaded Fuller Ridge, and I finally did the deed, ??? In the end, it was a snap. Of course I am several weeks behind the early starters who had to deal with snow covered trail. Now the trail is ony 25% covered & easy to navigate with just walking poles.

Camped on the trail on the plain after decending to Snow Creek at mile 208. Beautiful sunset on frnt face of SJ but sore feet. Great camp in a dry streambed.

Early Am departure to beat the heat over the dry stretch to Whitewater. Thanks to DNA & others for the cold coke at the 10 underpass. Ten miles laterafter sharing some shade with a Rattlesnack I did my laundry & had a bath in Whitewater River at the same time: nice. Camping at Whitewater tonight.

?PS. The stone formation behind the trout farm is spectacular.
