Finally in CT!

After a zero in palmerton I got a ride back to the trail with MoTown and Walking Home. After the uphill into the superfund site we ran into a baby deer. It ran right up to us and began licking our legs. We got a bunch of photos. It was really cool. Never seen anything like that before. Camped at Leroy smith shelter. Got woken up at 930 by a guy with a headlamp shining right into my tent. He was looking for the shelter. The next day made it to Delaware water gap. Stayed at the hostel. Got a ride to the mall and got new shoes and headphones. Had a great time. Got my first dunkachinko from dunkin donuts. It was really awesome. Left Delaware water gap and entered new jersey. Went swimming in sunfish pond. Camped around rattlesnake spring. The next day we had a great photo shoot on culver fire tower. Camped at Gren Anderson shelter. Passed the high point monument and camped at high point shelter. The following day went into unionville NY. Reapplied at a very expensive/shitty store. Had a fun time at the bar and celebrated my 5th month on trail! Camped at Pochuck mountain shelter. The next day I camped at wildcat shelter. Had some great trail magic the following day just before the lemon squeezer. Brats!! Camped at William brien shelter. The next day we walked through a trail side zoo! It was pretty cool that the trail goes right through it. Went into fort Montgomery and ate BBQ. Caught up with my old friend Katina. Had a great time. She took us into Peekskill ny for dinner and again in the morning to the post office. Walked through the zoo again with her In the morning. Camped at hemlock spring campsite. The following day we found out from JD that the baby dear we met earlier was dead! We had a memorial service/celebration of life party at RPH shelter. Pretty sure we kept everybody up at the shelter until hiker midnight. It was a good night. Had a rough morning and made it about 7 miles and took a nap. Camped at telephone pioneers shelter. The next day I crossed into Connecticut! Camped at Schaghticoke camp. Had an easy 3 miles into Kent ct.
