Home Again

Hey everyone, just decided to post once again even though I'm currently at home on my hiatus from my hiatus. Finally got used to being home and immersed in civilization again (undefined used to it at least). I'm back in the swing of things here, two jobs going again, scholarship applications, climbing, the whole nine. Still not sure how I feel about leaving, although I can say that it feels nice to be back into all of this, seeing everyone again and getting back to "normal". I guess I'm glad I took this break off after all. Adjusting to long distance hiking was hard but I think that now that I know what it entails I'm much more well equipped to go at it when next I go out there. With the weather starting to warm up considerably back up here in New York, more hiking semi-locally is definitely on my mind, but for right now I'm still trying to get settled and take care of all of my obligations here. More trips are sure to come though, probably thinking about doing the Long Trail sometime right before I leave for college, and the Northville-Lake Placid Trail when the weather gets nicer. Those are just some tentative ideas though, so who knows. It's nice to be home and going through with all of the my plans for the future, financial and otherwise, that I could only undefined about when I was out on the trail. Just wanted to update whoever was still reading on my current status, off trail as though it may be. I should be posting again when I decide more about future hikes, long or short, so keep an eye out if you're interested in that. See ya.

Following My DREAM

The Appalachian Trail (A.T.) is more than 2,175-mile long footpath stretching through 14 eastern states from Maine to Georgia. Conceived in 1921 and first completed in 1937, it traverses the wild, scenic, wooded, pastoral, and culturally significant lands of the Appalachian Mountains. Learn more: www.appalachiantrail.org
