Getting home
I got up early and ate a freeze driend meal that I had in my pack. The motel clock was an hour off so I checked out earlier than I planned. The car rental was only a half a mile away. Since I got there early I went on and rented early and started the trip home. Well first I needed to get my car which was near Konorock or Sugar Grove, VA. I called Aqua and arranged for him to come and pick me up in Pulaski at the car rental drop off point. This is 50 miles north of where my car is. But the way it worked out I could have dropped the car at Tri Cities airport 60 miles south of my car but the drop off in Pulaski was $ 100 cheaper. When I got to Erwin, TN is topped for a burger and a Red Bull. When I got to Groseclose, VA I gave Aqua a call for him to head out. In Pulaski I had a little trouble finding Tucks Collision, Hertz. A local gave me good directions and Aqual showed up shortly after I got there. After picking up my car at Sawni's house I head for the home streatch in the dark. Well it was dark before I got back to highway 81. Up the road I stopped for another burger and headed out on the interstate again. For a bit there I was perplexed because I saw a sign Wytheville exit, wow did I head south on 81? I know that I have already passed Wythville once today. But then it hit me. Sure I passed Wytheville twice already while I was heading to Pulaski to drop the car off and coming back. Uhhg I need sleep.
Well its nice to be home. I uploaded a few hundred more pictures to my picasa account. I have not taken time to edit them. I often take a lot of experimental shots with the cell phone. Pictures are lower resolution than usual so that they were easy to upload while hiking. Also I may go through and read this whole journal but I am not going to correct the mistakes made by poor typing and auto correction on the cell phone. Sometimes it changes the whole meaning of a sentance but I am going to leave the mistakes for character. LOL
