Benson Hut to Donner Pass
We had a very leisurely morning in the hut. Less than 6 miles to go to the car, so what's the hurry. There were some interesting interpretive signs along the way about the old wagon roads that ran through here. FYI: this area is accessible for day hiking. The very popular Mount Judah loop trail shares part of the PCT here. Pretty crowded with hikers on Labor Day.
I mismanaged my phone, let it die and had no camera today so have no photo to post. I may post later if I can get something from Donna.
My hiking season is not over yet. If the weather cooperates, we will hike the Desolation Wilderness in early October. Also, I may continue to work on Section O between Burney Falls and Castella/Interstate 5. I'm busy with other activities in September, so will post in October if I am able to get back out.
