Bear Canisters

well i purchased my canister today from WILD IDEAS they make the expedition which is nearly 16 inches tall and 9 inches round and can carry 12 days of food for a single person. weight 38 ounces . I chose this canister because i do not want to resupply in towns east of the trail in the Sierras and my carry from Kennedy Meadows to Vermillion Valley Resort is 14 days away including my Whitney hike. I chose to carry from the start for 2 reasons #1 protection for rodents eating a hole in my pack and tent . #2 getting use to this weight from the beginning
