Rabbit Ears Motel neon glory

Zero Day(s) in Steamboat and going home

Jon drove me to the library so I could use the internet and I made all the arrangements to fly out of Steamboat. I walked downtown and visited the Big Agnes store and left my tent there for zipper repair. They also ordered a new tent stuff sack. Jane and Peggy got into town and we went to a cook your own steak place--8th St. Steak House. It is the end of their CDT section.

August 3---stayed another day in town and walked by the river. I bough a collapsible rolling duffel bag at Walmart to store my pack in for flying. I have used those big plastic bags the airlines give you (if you can get one) and they are less than secure. It rained and the internet in the room went out--had to use the computer in the lobby. Rabbit Ears Motel is right next to a free town shuttle stop and within walking distance to downtown and all the restaurants. It's also across the street from the post office and food co-op.

August 4--5 AM shuttle pickup. On the plane from Denver to Medford, weird to be back in Medford. Smoke is very bad. Wished I could have stayed in the Rockies.
