Notes to self......test of gear and self on overnight pre-flight
Well, earlier this week, Jimmeny and I completed our first overnight training hike. We did a mere 9 miles in and nine miles out, carried around 28 - 33 pounds of gear each and took the trusty geo-dog along. Fun times. The weather report on the "morning of" indicated scattered showers. Living in the PNW, we can deal with scattered showers. Instead, we were greeted with incessant rain (like serious rain) the entire two days. Long story short, we tested ourselves in unexpected ways while walking in unexpected weather.
