boy that first 30 feet was really a mind bender!
Well it only took 30 feet of hardcore hiking to get lost for the first time... It began as a simple we-barely-know-each-other exchange.."Oh here's the trail!"
"It says to follow the sign to Coronado Trail"
"Oh no this is it"
"No let's follow the sign"
"No this is it"
"Oh really?"
"Well, okay, but it says to follow the sign"
"No we've gone .1 mile..."
"Really? I think it was only 30 feet"
"No it's here"
"Okay"
We only went maybe a quarter mile before we turned around. No argument. We like each other. These next 4 days will be fun before I am catapulted on my own :) .
I am right now nestled in the home of my true beloved friend Traci. She made us a meal of kings. We drank the best cabernet and breathed deeply through the most exquisite handmade chocolates. It's the new moon and I meditated myself into a complete merging with this up and coming experience.. no resistance.. I love and am loved... all is well :) Tomorrow I put on the official garb and up to Miller Peak..
