Last minute everything!
Preparing to complete the remaining 1,360 miles of the PCT this spring an summer - 360 miles from Cajon Pass and Kennedy Meadows and 1,000 miles from Donner Pass to Cascade Locks. I limped into Canada on a fractured tibia, and having healed, I can't wait to hike the rest of the spectacular PCT. I've hiked the High Sierra and the Cascades - surely the most stunning sections of the trail, but each place offers up its own magic. I'm a bit fearful but oh, so excited to be hiking through the hot, dry, stark beauty of the desert.
Resupplies for the first leg mailed this morning, and I'm hopeful that adding more protein will stave off some physical complications from 2012. I feel so relaxed this time about being on the trail for months. Knowing what gear and clothes worked well a couple years ago is a real bonus.
I'm ready for a transcendental experience!!
