Stevens pass!!!!!!!!
Got going early today. the bugs were so bad this morning i thought I might as well hike and get away from the bugs.2 miles to piper pass. Still tormented by mosquitos,so finally had to deet up just so I could eat breakfast. Glacier lake area was gorgeous! Should have camped there instead! Up and down all day and it was either biting flies or mosquitos.Didnt take many long breaks, anxious to get to Stevens pass. Arrived there by 5 pm, just after the lodge cafe closed. Debated about going to the dinsmores (trail angels) or skykomish , needed to be sure I could get a ride back up tomorrow to meet Kay . I was pretty much out of food so that made me decide to go ahead... got a hitch in about 10 minutes. After cleaning up I ate at the local pub and met Donna, who offered me a ride back up in the am!!! Sweet!!
