Dehydrated Fruit

The escrow on the sale of our home fell through. That is very disappointing. We were preparing to move for the last few weeks, off loading stuff we no longer need, making alternate living arrangements, engaging moving companies... then Wham! It's over. It's a shock to the system really. Resilience, bounce-back, recovery time. Stuff like this happens in life. While our plans now have to change, it does provide me a little bit of clarity and a place to anchor while I proceed with the planning for my trip.

I have been putting-off ordering supplies until after my move since I wasn't sure where to have them shipped. That has now been clarified, ship them here! Easy, peasy, I even have the address memorized. So I ordered some things. One of my favorite foods is dehydrated fruit. Even though it's my favorite, I am also very picky. I don't care for the stuff in the bins in the supermarket. There it sits for who knows how long. I imagine kids, wandering by following mom's shopping cart and dipping their germ infested hands into the bins. It's kinda creepy to imagine all of the deadly diseases lurking in the bulk-food bins. I like my dehydrated fruit in a factory sealed bag. I also have a favorite brand, Mariani. I'm a Californian so I have grown up seeing their fruit on the shelves. My frustration has been that it seems that when I go to the supermarket they would be out of the fruit that I wanted. The best ever, in my opinion, is their Island Fruits medley of papaya, pineapple, and mango. It's always hit or miss when I go to the store as to whether of not it would be in stock. It was really cool to find that they actually have a way to order exactly what you want right on line, Mariani Premium Dried Fruit.
